When it comes to fixing roof leaks and making minor repairs, turn to OMG’s new EverSeal Roof Repair Tape! EverSeal is non-butyl and does not contain asphalt or solvents. It's based on Advanced Synthetic Adhesive Polymer (ASAP) technology and sticks to all common roofing surfaces as well as most construction materials. It can also be used to repair gutters and edge metal or flash skylights and penetrations. It's great for RV roofs, tents and awnings too!
EverSeal is available in 6-in. x 50-ft. rolls, and comes in both black and white. Click below for more information.
Rest Easy with NightShot™ Temporary Watertight Tie-In
When the job resumes, just cut out the strip of dispensed NightShot and continue roofing. NightShot is available wherever OlyBond500® adhesives are sold. Click below for more information.
The AccuSeam system is a more productive and healthier alternative for mechanically attaching thermoplastic roofing membranes. The heart of the system is the easy-to-use stand up AccuSeam tool that's lightweight and maneuverable. In one motion, AccuSeam aligns an EyeHook® plate as the operator drives the fastener – doing the work of two and saving valuable time and resources. Each fastener is properly aligned perpendicular to the deck and installed to the correct depth every time for a more consistent application. When compared to the traditional bend-and-fasten installation method, AccuSeam provides fewer steps, so you can get ahead of schedule and off the roof faster. In addition, the AccuSeam tool is ergonomically correct and healthier for your crews. AccuSeam has a built in measuring tail for accurate 6- and 12-inch fastener spacing and can be used with OMG-made 2 3/8-inch EyeHook plates and #14 heavy duty or #15 extra heavy duty fasteners in lengths up to six inches on steel and wood decks. Specify Only ANSI/SPRI Tested Drains
America’s first national standard for retrofit roof drains was developed by SPRI and approved as a national standard by ANSI in 2004. It was re-approved in December 2009. The standard was originally developed to fill an information void regarding retrofit drains. Stan Choiniere, chairman of SPRI’s Retrofit Roof Drain Standard Task Force and National Technical Manager for OMG, says, “Retrofit drains that meet this standard have proven to perform at the high level demanded by designers and building owners.” The retrofit roof standard, ANSI/SPRI RD-1, features a test protocol designed to assure a watertight connection to existing drain pipes. Also included are methods intended to calculate sufficient drainage.
For peace of mind, only specify retrofit roof drains with OMG U-Flow or RAC seals!
Use Proper Spacing with OlyBond500 Insulation Adhesives
OlyBond500 should be applied in 3/4 to 1-inch wide wet beads spaced a maximum of 12 inches on center. There are no approvals from any manufacturer for wider than 12-inch spacing, however there are tighter patterns, so be sure to check with the roofing system manufacturer for installation details. The “wet” bead will spread to a width of 2-inches or more and will rise to about an inch. Walk the insulation into the foamed-up adhesive before it skins over. A cure will typically occur within 4- to 8-minutes depending on the temperature and weather conditions. OMG field representatives are available to assist with training and job starts.

New Literature Available We have several pieces of new literature available.
For six consecutive years, the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida has been a AAA Four Diamond Award recipient. The beachfront resort has 900 guest rooms, 100 guest suites, 250,000 sq. ft. of convention meeting space, eight restaurants, a spa, 50,000 sq. ft. of retail space as well as golf and tennis facilities. The property is also green. During the past few years, the resort has launched several initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, including adding programmable HVAC sensors, low-flow shower heads, a paperless check-in/check-out system, and in-room recycling. While less visible than some environmental initiatives, a new 150,000 sq. ft. roof was recently installed over the hotel and convention center. The project involved removing the modified bitumen roof from the concrete deck and installing a new system with a base of tapered insulation. Knowing that Westin wants sustainable products, Advanced Roofing of Fort Lauderdale recommended OlyBond500 Green Insulation Adhesive for the job. The plant-based adhesive is FM, Dade and Florida Building Code approved, and low in VOCs. Click below for more information.
