We use safe machine operating processes, hand packing techniques and effective lean manufacturing principles to pack our product. This position routinely operates automated- and semi–automated machines to pack parts according to specifications and Kanban card requirements. The Packing Operator also may hand pack at times as product needs demand. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Packing Operator must be a team player and committed to delivering the best quality to our customers!
Responsibilities
- Follow packing schedule issued by Packing Product Supervisor.
- Assemble and label boxes required to hold product to be shipped.
- Pack identified pieces into crates, boxes and cartons.
- Weigh packed boxes to ensure accurate count.
- Seal boxes and record sealed box into packing log.
- Perform work in accordance with our Safety Policy.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
Requirements
High-school diploma or equivalent.
0-2 years experience in a related field.
Ability to read daily packing schedule and labels in English.
Ability to prioritize tasks to meet daily packing quotas.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
