· Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
· Loads and unloads material and parts from the work center in an appropriate manner.
· Identifies and uses appropriate tools for required tasks, mechanical repairs and setup procedures.
· Performs machine setup procedures and replaces worn tooling.
· Performs routine lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections as required.
· Follows machine maintenance schedules and completes required tasks.
· Completes hourly Quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment and identifies quality defects in parts.
· Properly and accurately fills out Quality Control documents and forms.
· Maintains a neat and well-organized work area and cleans machines and tooling as required.
· Other duties as directed by Shift Supervisor or Group Leader and as Machine Operator skills are developed.
Requirements · High school diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to interpret required safety instructions, job orders, blueprints, quality specifications, and other related documents.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Basic math skills.
· Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
· Good close vision and depth perception skills.
· Positive “can do" attitude and willingness to develop required competency on assigned machines.
· Work cooperatively, respectfully, considerately and honestly with others across all functions, shifts and at all levels.
